“A Rose Between Thorns” is a groundbreaking debut feature filmed entirely on location in St. Kitts and Nevis. Set against the smallest islands in the Caribbean, it follows a young dancer striving to overcome the trauma of family violence, and her boyfriend struggling to break free from an inherited cycle of alcoholism and despair. Together, they search for a way out of their painful circumstances, discovering the strength and courage needed to follow their dreams.

This is the first feature film I’ve ever worked on, and my debut as a cinematographer and producer. It was an amazing experience, and I’m honored to have been able to shed light on a problem affecting young women in the Caribbean.
